In Pursuit of Jane Austen - guided tour to Hampshire
Meet at 8.15am (return 4.30pm)
All day tour to Hampshire tracing Jane's footsteps and life. First her birthplace Steventon then Chawton where much of her writing took place. Visiting Winchester, King Alfred's capital of England and Jane's final resting place in the cathedral. Meander with guide Adge, through the ancient streets, impressive Peninsula Barracks and castle ruins. An unforgettable and atmospheric tour.

Meet: 10am outside the main door of Bath Abbey, BA1 1LT
With Bath Parade Guides follow in the footsteps of Persuasion's Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth to Camden PLace. Then return via St Swithin's church, where Jane's parents were married and her father is buried, and, past her Aunt and Uncle Leigh Perrot's house where Jane and her mother stayed. Walk includes steps and steep walking. Sensibile shoes essential!

As Danced on Tv - Regency Dance Workshop
2.30pm (duration 1hr 30mins)
Join callers from the Jane Austen Dancers for a fun session covering a selection of dances from TV productions of Austen novels – Aimed at all levels of ability, enjoy a mix of fast and slower dances which according to Mr Darcy ‘every savage can dance’! Period costume welcome but not essential, flat shoes and a drink recommended. Teaching is in English.

Join the Director of Jane Austens House, Chawton Cottage, Lizzie Dunford, for an informal evening of chatting about all things Austen. Share your experiences of Austen's works and discuss themes, adaptations and much more with fellow fans. Included in your ticket are 2 welcome drinks.
