- (Children under 16 FREE but must be with a participating adult in COSTUME).
- Tickets can be collected from the Festival Stewards on 11th September, shortly before the promenade begins.
The Jane Austen Festival officially opens with the world-famous Grand Regency Costumed Promenade. The Promenade is a procession through the streets of the beautiful city of Bath and over 300 people all in 18th Century costume take part, making it a record-breaking event. The Jane Austen Festival hold the Guinness World Record TM for ‘The largest gathering of people dressed in Regency costume’. All sorts of people take part from the very young to the young at heart plus red coats, dancers and our official town crier.
ALL participants must wear costume to take part in the Promenade.
No ticket required to watch.
