Festival Review 2011

Dancing at St Swithin's Church, the place where Jane Austen's parents were married             Promenade Saturday was windy and wet but did we care… not a bit. Not when you’re walking with a Soldier!

The promenaders were joined by television cameras at the Royal Crescent and Promenade day was filmed for a programme presented by Prof Amanda Vickery being televised on BBC2 on Friday 23rd December 2011 at 9pm, called The Many Lovers of Miss Jane Austen.

Amanda Vickery with Martin the Jane Austen Centre Meeter and Greeter at the Guildhall Fayre.         Sunday saw us learning to dance, eating lunch and being entertained with a concert by the League of Harmony in the evening – all at the original Theatre Royal in Old Orchard Street, Bath and for the lucky few on the final Saturday the contestants from Masterchef 2011 prepared our lunch on the lawn in front of the Royal Crescent.
