Go on a Regency shopping spree through the Bath Pavilion with stalls offering hats, fans, gloves, books, hair pieces, jewellery and lots more.
It is advisible to bring cash for swift and guaranteed purchases at the fayre. Capacity of the building is limited so you may have to queue for entrance, last entry will be at 16:30 for a 17:00 close.

Your ticket includes a fabulous afternoon tea with a Georgian twist and time to explore the historic house museum after. Our 'Jane Austen in Bath' immersive tour will guide you through the house. Sample the delights of an 18th Century public breakfast just as Jane Austen did in Bath. Bread rolls, toasted fruit bread, cake, tea (Jane Austen blend) or coffee - all in the private dining room of a typical Regency Bath house. Breakfast is accompanied by a talk from Jane Tapley.

Rummaging through the Reticule

What did Jane and her characters keep in their reticules? All will be revealed when the contents of this C18th handbag are spilt in the privacy of a Regency drawing room. Jane Tapley's talk is followed by refreshments, a traditional cream tea - scones, jam and cream and, of course, tea.

Grand Regency Costumed Promenade

Join 2000 people dressed in Regency style for this world famous, spectacular official opening to the Festival. Stroll through this beautiful city for approximately 1 hour ending in Parade Gardens.

Pleasure Gardens

Don your finest Regency costume and join the Jane Austen Festival at dusk in Parade Gardens, as we recreate a Georgian Pleasure Gardens. The festivities include sweet treats, drinks, circus performers and entertainment with musical interludes.
This one-off event will celebrate our favourite author's 250th birthday in an extra special immersive way!

Breakfast with Beau Nash

Step back into Regency splendour for a truly elegant morning as part of the Jane Austen Festival. Join us in the historic Pump Room for Breakfast with Beau Nash—a refined affair inspired by the famed Master of Ceremonies himself.
Doors will open from 9.15am, for you to begin your morning with a chilled glass of Champagne or Bucks Fizz, alongside freshly brewed organic coffee or English Breakfast tea, as the sounds of our resident pianist fill the room. Indulge in a sumptuous breakfast menu including char-grilled Wiltshire bacon, local Bath sausages, free-range scrambled eggs, or a refined option of smoked salmon with eggs, all accompanied by freshly baked breads, pastries, and seasonal sides.
Soak up the atmosphere as the Pump Room comes to life in true Georgian style—just as Jane Austen might have experienced it.
Costumes are warmly encouraged (though not required), offering a delightful opportunity to see and be seen in your Regency best.
Taking place the morning after one of the Festival's many wonderful evening events, this is the perfect moment to regroup, recount your favourite waltzes, and exchange whispers of the evening’s most titillating encounters. Sense and Insensibility - A Murder Mystery

John Willoughby's body is found murdered in the grounds of Barton Park in Devon. He was a ruthless, callous man only interested in himself and quite prepared to use people to get what he wanted. But who killed him - was it Marianne Dashwood whom he had jilted, or Colonel Brandon whose ward, Eliza Williams he had seduced and abandoned or Eliza herself?
Elinor Dashwood acts as investigator to get to the bottom of this mystery and with the help of the lunch guests solves the murder and brings the killer to justice…

This year, our camp will be bigger than ever, featuring His Majesty's 33rd Regiment of Foot accompanied by the Coldstream Guards. Visit their encampment at the Holburne Museum and experience a whole campful of soldiers with authentic drill displays, music and talks presenting life at war.

Regency Picnic

Gothic Tales in the Grotto - at Beckford’s Tower

In the recently excavated underground Grotto, you will be treated to scintillating Austen-themed stories as you’ve never heard before, from immersive storyteller Sarah Slater. Then, head up to the Tower itself to enjoy the views and explore the museum.

Stargazing at the Herschel Museum of Astronomy with the Bath Astronomers

Join the Bath Astronomers in the Herschel Museum of Astronomy, where the Planet Uranus was discovered from by William Herschel on 13th March 1781. Half of the evening will be spent star-gazing (weather dependent!), the other half will be exploring the house where brother and sister musicians turned astronomers, William and Caroline Herschel, lived from 1777 to 1782.
Please note: in the event of poor weather the event will go ahead even if stargazing is not possible, as a tour and talk around the museum will be provided from Bath Astronomers.

Jane Austen was known to be particularly adept at both cup & ball, and spillikins. Enjoy an evening or late-night session trying your skills (or luck) at these, as well as lottery tickets, whist, hazard and other Regency-era games, provided by John White of Select Society.
For 2025 fortunes will be gained or lost in the delicious venue of the Bath Distillery Gin Bar; here you will meet the talented mixologists who have created the cocktails of ‘Gin’ Austen, which are a fabulous way to explore the elegance and subtlety of their own gin.

Celestial Regency Roman Baths Soiree

A Regency Roman Baths Celestial Soiree ticket will cover the stunning two-hour soirée by the Roman Baths.
Model your celestial Regency finery by the torchlit waters under the starlit Bath skies, while you enjoy musical interludes and a welcome drink.
There will not be a cash bar down by the Roman Baths, however you will be given the option to pre-buy glasses of prosecco (or a soft drink alternative) when booking your tickets.
