The Jane Austen Regency Cookbook has been compiled from the recipes of Martha Lloyd, a close friend and companion to the Austens.

The recipes were compiled by Martha for the Jane Austen family and included those from her collection, as well as those of her well-to-do acquaintances.

Martha was their dear friend and lived with the Austen ladies at Chawton, later marrying Jane's elder brother Admiral Sir Francis Austen when in her sixties. 

The Jane Austen Regency Cookbook features recipes from Apple Pie to Rum Biscuits, a step-by-step guide and photography of the finished product, offering a little taste of historical England.
