The Jane Austen Regency Cookbook has been researched from the manuscript recipes from Martha Lloyd.

The recipes were compiled by her for the Jane Austen family and included recipes from her own collection and that of well to do acquaintances.

Martha was their dear friend and lived with the Austen ladies at Southampton and Chawton, later marrying Jane's elder brother Admiral Sir Francis Austen when Martha was in her sixties.

The Jane Austen Regency Cookbook features recipes from Apple Pie to Rum Biscuits, a step by step guide and photography of the finished product - offering a little taste of historical England.
