Event organisation for the Jane Austen Festival
The next Jane Austen Festival will take place from the 11th to 20th September 2026
We are no longer accepting submissions for the 2026 programme, however, please get in touch from July 2026 onwards regarding the 2027 Jane Austen Festival (10th - 19th September 2027)
Here in the Jane Austen office we love hearing about new Jane Austen & Georgian themed events we can bring to Bath for our Festival visitors to enjoy.
PerformersIf you are a theatre group or speaker with an Austen or Regency era themed subject or show, please get in touch via email. We look for both theatre groups who already have their own show & speakers to use within our Festival run events.*
VenuesFor venues or businesses who would like to provide their own event whilst being included in the Jane Austen Festival programme of events, there are several different options for this. Please get in touch with the festival office team via email for more information.*
AuthorsAuthors & publishers with Jane Austen or Georgian themed books, we love to hear from you on subjects such as the history of the Georgian period and Jane Austen - however please be aware that as a company we have a duty of care to our Festival visitors, and as such we are careful about vetting works presented during the Jane Austen Festival, with regards to how they present the subjects noted in the *Theme Guidance page link below.
If you are looking present your book in a lecture or talk event please contact the Festival team, to sell your book as part of the Jane Austen Festival we partner with the Jane Austen Centre Gift Shop so please contact them for all book sales. Please note, being a speaker at the Festival does not automatically mean the Jane Austen Centre will stock your book, this is accessed on a book-by-book basis.
For each Jane Austen Festival year the programme is released in Springtime, so please contact the Festival team before the end of February each year if you wish to have an event considered for the programme.
