Just a short walk from Oxford Circus, The Jane Austen Experience in London allows you to immerse yourself in the charm, wit, and romance of Regency England.
Building on the legacy of The Jane Austen Centre in Bath, our new Jane Austen London Experience brings another chapter of her story to life.
Visitors can step into Austen’s world through immersive storytelling, authentic Regency settings, and a curated collection of literary-inspired gifts.
What you can expect
With a delightful ground floor Gift Shop, and a permanant exhibition (with character actors, a waxwork of Jane Austen and much more), this is an exciting time for Jane Austen in London.
While Jane Austen lived much of her life in Hampshire and spent several years living in Bath - London held a special place in her life.
Her beloved brother Henry Austen lived here, and it was through his London connections that many of Jane's novels were first published.
Jane often visited Henry in London, exploring the theatres, bookshops, and drawing rooms that shaped the society she portrayed so brilliantly.
