Jane Austen's Bath - minibus tour

Meet: Bath War Memorial, Royal Ave, Bath BA1 2PH

A combination of walking and driving visiting outdoor locations in Austen's Persuasion and Northanger Abbey. Includes Charlcombe, described by Jane 'as being sweetly situated in a little green valley', and finishes with the best view of Bath from that 'Noble Hill'.
For this event you will travel in a small luxury 21st Century minibus driven by your tour guide Adge Secker.

Make Sew Bold: Bookmark Embroidery- workshop

Venue: The ArtPad, 62 Great Pulteney Street, Bath BA2 4DN

Join us to design and make a beautiful bookmark worthy of your favourite Jane Austen novel! This is the perfect sociable and relaxing activity to close the festival! Suitable for beginners, although all are welcome, you’ll learn some simple embroidery stitches and have full access to our vintage haberdashery bar to make your bookmark as unique and decorative as you wish!
All equipment and materials are provided, plus delicious mid-morning refreshments. Your tutors will also share ideas, tips and techniques. We’ll make sure your creative talents are unleashed! You’ll leave with a beautiful, unique souvenir of your time in Bath!

Meet: Below the Royal Crescent - this event will end at The Bath Priory Hotel

Meet for our traditional ending mini promenade of the Jane Austen Festival.
Join us on an informal stroll starting from the Royal Crescent, winding through Victoria Park and the Botanical Gardens, ending in the private gardens of The Bath Priory Hotel.

Costume recommended, and this event will take place in all weathers. Please keep to the pavements and adhere to all 21st Century traffic & pedestrian rules.

The Bath Priory will be offering picnic hampers to enjoy in their gardens, along with more formal dining options in their restaurant. Please click here (linking coming soon) for details on how to pre-order your hampers and book a table.
Those wishing to bring your own picnic, you are welcome to return to the Botanical gardens Temple area for picnicking.

In the event of adverse weather conditions the Mini Promenade will still go ahead, however it will be first-come-first served into the Bath Priory Hotel drawing room and indoor seating areas. For any pre-ordered picnic hampers, please collect and take these back to your lodgings if you do not wish to sit on the damp grass!

Croquet Game

13:00 & 15:00 (duration 1hr 30mins)

Venue: Bath Croquet Club, Great Pulteney Street, Recreation Ground, BA2 4DS (entrance via Great Pulteney Street)

Spend 1 hour experiencing the Regency sport of "Pall-Mall" with an outdoor croquet game at Bath Croquet Club. Equipment and introductory instructions provided, enjoy a relaxed game of croquet, followed by post-match refreshments in the Croquet Pavilion. (Refreshments included in the ticket price)

"Carriages" to Meryton & Longbourn - minibus tour

13:15 (duration 4 hours)

Meet: Bath War Memorial, Royal Ave, Bath BA1 2PH

Starting with a driving tour of Austen’s Bath, then onto the village of Luckington to visit the St Mary with St Ethelbert Church and walk in the footsteps of the P&P 1995 cast. Next Lacock – a village trapped in time and the location for Meryton & Highbury. Then back to Bath to finish with the best view of Bath from ‘that Noble Hill’.
