Mr Bennet's Jig - Regency dance workshop

Join our own Mr Bennet of the Jane Austen Dancers, and jig your way through some of his favourite dances, suited to all levels of experience. Mr Bennet's dance class will set you up for dancing like the members of polished society who frequented the balls of Miss Austen's era.

Beechan Cliff & The Bath Landscape - walking tour

Climb to the top of 'that noble hill, whose beautiful verdure and hanging coppice render it so striking an object from almost every opening in Bath.' Includes a stop to explore St Mary Magdalene's Chapel. Stout shoes and a sturdy constitution are required as there are numerous steps, but wonderful views.

HatsPeriod Bonnets - headwear workshop

Spend an session learning about and creating your own unique Regency headwear with tuition from Jane Walton. Pre-select your base choice of headwear of either a Felt Bonnet, Straw Bonnet, Ball Feather Headdress or Floral Crown, to trim during the workshop.
There will be a wide selection of sizes and colours from each category to choose from on the day. Additional trimming items can either be purchased from the workshop ‘shop’, during the session, or you are welcome to bring your own trimmings from home.

Embroider like Jane Austen

Using historical designs from the Regency era, embroider your choice of handkerchiefs or a fichu to wear proudly with your Regency outfit.
All materials included, with a small talk on ‘Stitching in the time of Jane Austen’ and full instruction provided by Abigail Rose, assisted by Sophie Andrews of Laughing With Lizzie.

Starting with a driving tour of Austen’s Bath, then onto the village of Luckington to visit the St Mary with St Ethelbert Church and walk in the footsteps of the P&P 1995 cast. Next Lacock – a village trapped in time and the location for Meryton & Highbury. Then back to Bath to finish with the best view of Bath from ‘that Noble Hill’.
