Visit the Postscript Books Stall at the Festival Fayre on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September, where you'll discover a curated range of books celebrating Jane Austen, the Regency period, social history, biography, literature, gardens, art and much more, all available at Postscript's discounted prices.
Whether you're searching for a new favourite read, a gift or simply wish to browse, our team will be on hand throughout the Fayre. Visitors can also sign up for the free Postscript catalogue, featuring up to 500 carefully selected titles with savings of up to 75% off the recommended retail price.

As part of the Jane Austen Festival, Postscript Books will be bringing a special pop-up bookshop to the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution.
Browse a hand-picked selection of books inspired by Jane Austen and the Festival, including titles on the Regency period, British history, biography, literature, art, architecture, gardens and many other fascinating subjects. Whether you're a devoted Austen reader or simply enjoy discovering books at exceptional prices, there's something for everyone.
The Postscript team will also be offering visitors the opportunity to sign up for their free catalogue, giving readers access to hundreds of discounted books delivered directly to their door.

Francis Hotel
Queen's Square, Bath
The Francis Hotel on Queen's Square, are kindly supporting in kind the Festival by hosting our Telly & Film Club in their lounge. They have also wonderfully supported us by sharing an additional space for our Festival volunteer stewards to use.
A town of Georgian townhouses, now the Francis Hotel, set in the heart the city with a honey-hued façade and history from John Wood, the Elder, Emily Francis and many more.
With calming yet interior-led rooms, sumptuous beds and quiet corners to rest in. The Francis Hotel knows warm hospitality, the moment you enter our doomed Alex and jerry will be waiting, our lounge will be plumped, with team ready to pour tea and serve from our trolley should you wish to linger a little longer before heading out to the city.
And if taking a moment for yourself, a recently added spa pays homage to the city’s famed heritage with a thermal ritual and courtyard waiting.
Waiting for dusk to fall to roam the city for its best cuisine. Look no further. Gather at Emberwood our brasserie, where seasonal produce is cooked over a hearth, the same as our occupants from years ago. Served in a buzzy dining spot that feels appropriately dressed for the occasion.

Bath Recreation Ground
The Bath Recreation Trust have kindly supported the 2026 Jane Austen Festival by hosting the end of our 2000+ strong Grand Regency Costumed Promenade.
Bath Recreation is a self-funded charity that is intent on creating a model for the future of sports and recreation. We believe that recreation can be financially sustainable.
We are a charitable organisation operating in and near Bath, providing recreational facilities and delivering educational programmes.We have inspiring relationships with numerous schools, clubs, organisations, partners, pupils, parents and other charities throughout the community of Bath and surrounding areas.
Ultimately, we are driven by a desire to help people to enjoy recreational activities so that they can lead healthy, active and happy lives.
