More about Group Visits
The Jane Austen Centre Visit
Your Centre visit begins with a warm welcome and introductory presentation talk from one of our knowledgeable and experienced Guide-Actors. This takes place on the first floor of this attractive Georgian town house, in a classically decorated period room. Following the presentation your group is taken through our interactive Exhibition where their visit continues at their own pace, finishing in our well-stocked Gift Shop. If you have any questions on Jane Austen or Bath our staff are always close at hand and very happy to answer them.
Walking Tours of Jane Austen’s Bath
There is nothing that our specialist Walking Tour costumed Guide-Actors like better than to show off our beautiful Georgian city to interested visitors. Let us take you to places mentioned in Jane Austen’s letters and her novels, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. Perhaps a more general history of Bath is required; whatever your group’s wishes we have the tour for you. With our private walks you can specify the focus, time and duration of the tour to suit your group and schedule.* If you are smaller group interested in hiring a private Walking Tour Guide / Actor please email the Group Organiser.
The Regency Tea Room
If your visit is more leisurely you may like to enjoy some refreshments in our lovely Regency Tea Room on the second floor. Serving real leaf teas, homemade cakes and light snacks, our friendly Tea Room staff will be delighted to welcome you. The Tea Room is available for exclusive hire. Contact the Group Organiser for details.
